Jessica Garay Redmond, MS, RDN, CSCS, RYT-200 is the founder of Major League Wellness.
Jessica is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and PhD candidate in Science Education at Syracuse University, where her dissertation research focused on fetal programming and physical activity behaviors. Jessica will be starting as an Assistant Professor of Biology at Utica College in August 2016.
Jessica received her undergraduate degree in nutrition from Cornell University, followed by a dietetic internship in Yavapai County, Arizona. Jessica began her nutrition career at the Food Bank of Central New York. She then earned a Master of Science degree in Exercise Science, with a concentration in Exercise, Nutrition, and Eating Behavior, from George Washington University’s School of Public Health. During this time, she worked as an outpatient oncology dietitian at the Washington Cancer Institute.
Jessica has experience providing one-on-one and group nutrition education to high school, college, and recreational athletes. She is certified in Adult Weight Management through the Committee on Dietetic Registration, and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. In addition, Jessica is a 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher and has taught Pilates, Spinning, and Barre fitness classes. She is an active member of the Central New York Dietetic Association, New York State Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, and is currently the secretary for the Dietitians in Integrative and Functional Medicine Dietetic Practice Group.

Personally, Jessica is a mom to Graham, born March 2013, and is expecting her second boy in August 2016. She loves to travel – visiting 5 continents so far, including climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro. She is an avid sports fan and enjoys hiking, running, yoga, and tennis.
